My commitment to you is to ensure that your website needs are met by using best practices and a focus on your site, business and target audience requirements. I will work closely with you to identify these requirements and develop recommended cost effective solutions.
I provide a unique combination of solid IT skills with over 20 years in the field and several years doing web design and development.
I started in the Air Force supporting electronic systems, global communications networks and as a technical training instructor. After the Air Force I was employed at Lockheed in California and worked alongside engineers to test, troubleshoot and enhance multimillion dollar systems before they were integrated into satellites. While there I lead a quality improvement team to improve work center quality and productivity.
After Lockheed I went to work for British Telecom (later MCI) as a network surveillance engineer supporting and troubleshooting global and local area networks. While in this position I was assigned to be a quality improvement team leader to once again improve work center processes, quality and productivity.
I moved to Michigan and was picked up as a contractor working as a fourth level technical support person on local area networks for Electronic Data Systems. I became a regular EDS employee a year later after I had successfully developed and deployed within 24 hours an automated system update process that helped an automotive plant meet their uptime commitments. While at EDS I moved into a web development and design function and have been successful at creating effective solutions to meet business requirements. The quality of work I performed throughout my career has earned me several awards, accommodations and a Master Instructor designation from the Air Force.
Currently I hold a Bachelors and Associates in Computer Information systems. In 2010 I will have a Masters of Science in Information Systems with a project management focus. I make it a point to always keep up on technologies and techniques through books, magazines and websites.
This focus on information systems and best practices in technologies provides a strong understanding of business systems and implementing effective technical solutions to meet business requirements.
